RD3 HD – Groovebox is an audio application designed for Android devices that is easy to use. It combines two 303-style synthesizers, a drum machine with 10 different drum kits plus distortion, phaser and delay audio effects.

Optimized for Android phones and tablets
Take full advantage of your Android device with that multi-touch enabled app and use it for live performances in landscape mode on phones and 7-inch tablets or use the additional special rack view on 10-inch tablets in portrait mode.
RD3 HD is optimized for Android 2.3 (Gingerbread), 3.X (Honeycomb) and Android 4 (Ice Cream Sandwich). For earlier Android versions read about RD3.
Mixer
On the Mixer screen you start and stop the groovebox, set the tempo and adjust the volume of each of the three instruments. For your performance, choose one of four patterns for each instrument and the pattern play mode (solo, loop or random).
Bassline x 2
Bassline is a realtime virtual analog synthesizer modeled after the legendary 303. The RD3 HD groovebox hosts two instances of this synthesizer.
On the upper part you’ll find the tone control with a highly resonant low pass filter and four buttons to choose the oscillator waveform. Choose between sawtooth, pulse, square and triangle waveforms. The multitouch control allows you to alter parameters simultaneously.
On the lower part you’ll see a 16-step sequencer that includes accent and slide options typical of the 303. To apply effects use the buttons Fx1 and Fx2.
Beats
Beats is the drum machine page. Every drum kit consists of 8 different drum channels each with its own punch control that adjusts the volume and modulates the sound envelope. To apply effects use the buttons Fx1 and Fx2 for each drum machine channel.
The beats are programmed with the step sequencer at the bottom. Use the menu to choose between 10 different drum kits based on the legendary 808, 909, 606, CR-78, Linn, KR55, RX11, RZ1, DMX and DPM48 drum machines.
Effects
On the Fx page you adjust the parameters of the two effect groups. Fx1 offers distortion and a phaser, Fx2 is the delay unit with the corresponding parameters. To apply the effects use the Fx buttons on the instrument pages.
